Performing together for the first time, vocalist Michael Hanna and guitarist Tim Bedner discovered an instant connection with unlimited musical possibilities. This incredible duo will delight with a variety of songs ranging from jazz standards to Gospel to R&B. The combination of Michael's beautiful voice and Tim's exquisite guitar playing is a feast for the ears!

About Michael Hanna: Michael enjoys the improvisational stylings of Jazz, the freedom of the Blues and the spiritual fire of Gospel, cultivated throughout various time of his life.

Michael has performed on various stages in North America, Canada and Japan. With a notable collaboration of first-class musicians in Ottawa, Michael has performed as Michael Hanna and friends in the Ottawa and Merrickville Jazz festivals, in several performances on the NAC 4th Stage, in the Gift of Jazz production at the National Gallery of Art, the Center-Pointe Theater, the TD Jazz festival on-line and several private concerts in the National Capital Area.

He can be found on several EP’s including Darold Gholdstons’ “The Right Words to Romance”, his own “Michael Hanna family and friends”,  Pianist John Dapaah’s “A Jazzy Little Christmas” and the latest EP by the Pete Foret Project called “Marvelville”.

In addition to his singing career, Michael manages RMI Publishing., developed to promote the over 300 compositions of his father; the late Sir Roland Hanna.

About Tim Bedner: Tim Bedner, is a modern lyrical composer and improviser, and an award-winning teacher and performer on six and seven-string guitar. Reviewers have called him “a talent and a force, playing with grace, style, passion, and inventiveness.” His CD recording “Of Light and Shadow” debuted in the #1 spot of the CMJ jazz chart. Tim teaches jazz guitar performance at Carleton University, where he also founded the Guitar Ensemble. In addition to composing, Tim creates arrangements and guitar instructional materials. He performs extensively throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Tim graduated from Duquesne University and Berklee College of Music.  www.timbedner.com
